books about traveling:

hitchiker’s guide to the galaxy is very fun, but the actual hitchiker’s guide is the first book in a series of five and pretty short, so I would recommend the ultimate hitchiker’s guide to the galaxy, which is a collection of all five.

passenger by alexandra bracken is pretty decent too, but be warned: sequel doesn’t come out until next year.

the hobbit is a classic and is very much about adventure.


books that have to do with traveling:

the knife of never letting go by patrick ness (first book in a trilogy)

paper towns by john green

the poisonwood bible by barbara kingsolver (not YA but amazing read)

the glass castle by jeanette walls (also not YA but fantastic)
